Now Hiring Customer Relations Associates

Location: Greece and Henrietta, NY

We are looking for a customer relations associate who wants to help us achieve our goal of offering the best selection of furniture and mattresses with unmatched customer service.

This position is for either 4 or 5 days a week, and 32 - 40 hours. We are flexible!

Job Details

Ruby-Gordon is the largest family owned and operated furniture store in the Greater Rochester, New York area and we’re looking for enthusiastic, career-minded, self-motivated individuals to work in a professional retail business environment. The ideal candidate must possess a strong work ethic and above average communication skills. Our customer relations team is the backbone of the business, working to provide a great customer experience every time.

Responsibilities

  • Attend ongoing training in the areas of customer service, administrative tasks, operational tasks, computer, and product knowledge.

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.

  • Direct customers to various individuals throughout the company.

  • Provide answers for product arrivals and estimations to customers.

  • Assist customers in making payments on purchases.

  • Process customer requests for available financing options.

  • Reconcile and close out transactions daily.

  • Continually work and update customers on their open orders regarding product status, delays, and other pertinent information utilizing store reports and resources.

  • Assist in maintaining positive and clean presentation of the office and showroom floor.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong communications skills.

  • Able to handle answering and distributing phone calls.

  • Ability to work with computers and learn new programs.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office programs including MS Word and Excel.

  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
