We are looking for a customer relations associate who wants to help us achieve our goal of offering the best selection of furniture and mattresses with unmatched customer service.
This position is for either 4 or 5 days a week, and 32 - 40 hours. We are flexible!
Ruby-Gordon is the largest family owned and operated furniture store in the Greater Rochester, New York area and we’re looking for enthusiastic, career-minded, self-motivated individuals to work in a professional retail business environment. The ideal candidate must possess a strong work ethic and above average communication skills. Our customer relations team is the backbone of the business, working to provide a great customer experience every time.
Attend ongoing training in the areas of customer service, administrative tasks, operational tasks, computer, and product knowledge.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
Direct customers to various individuals throughout the company.
Provide answers for product arrivals and estimations to customers.
Assist customers in making payments on purchases.
Process customer requests for available financing options.
Reconcile and close out transactions daily.
Continually work and update customers on their open orders regarding product status, delays, and other pertinent information utilizing store reports and resources.
Assist in maintaining positive and clean presentation of the office and showroom floor.
Treat all people in contact with the highest level of professionalism.
Maintain professional appearance in accordance with the Company’s dress code and conduct policies.
Continuously building customer relationships through interpersonal and follow-up skills.
Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Uphold company values, policies, and procedures.
Must have strong communications skills.
Able to handle answering and distributing phone calls.
Ability to work with computers and learn new programs.
Proficient in the use of MS Office programs including MS Word and Excel.
Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Up to 7% commision per sale
